TURKMENISTAN WAHA HAPKIDO CHAMPIONSHIP WAS HELD IN MARY ON AUGUST 1, 2206

On August 1, 2026, a large-scale sports competition in the Hapkido Waha branch was held in the city of Mary, Turkmenistan. Approximately 220–240 student athletes participated in the day-long event.

The competition was held in two different categories: sparring matches and demonstration matches. Throughout the event, athletes showcased both their technical skills and performances, providing spectators with exciting moments.

The competitions were organized in 3 groups, and as a result of the group evaluations, the Mary city team demonstrated superior performance, became the group champion, and earned the right to win the gold medal.

The competitions started at 08:30 in the morning and were successfully completed around 19:30 in the evening. A large portion of the event was recorded by professional teams for broadcast on Turkmenistan's Turkmen Sport television channel.
